Ryan Perdz Delivers Incredible Acoustic Performance in Newburgh
Fresh off the release of his debut record (we're talking 4 days after the album dropped), Ryan Perdz paid a visit to the Hudson Valley to join us at Newburgh Brewing Company for a show that we'll all be talking and thinking about for a very long time.

The Artist Behind THAT Voice: Ryan Perdz
He's a 25-year old musician who may very well be responsible for the resurgence of grunge music, and on Tuesday August 18th, Ryan Perdz became the latest artist to join the WRRV Sessions family with a jaw-dropping performance.

Walking up to the taproom just before doors opened at 4pm, I was able to catch the last few moments of sound check. if you were with us for Ryan's performance, or even listening on the radio, you may have heard me talk about how truly powerful and moving his voice sounded as it echoed through the brewery and out onto South Colden Street, and that was before he even formally took the stage.

Attendees were treated to a nice mix of songs off of his debut album Can't Cry (which again, dropped on Friday 8/14), and I somehow managed to sneak in a last minute cover request to the setlist, to which Ryan left me (and others) speechless with a stunning version of Audioslave's I Am The Highway.
Lyrics that hit all too close to home for so many of us, and a vocal range that's hard to put into words, Ryan has a sound that is somehow so familiar and incredibly unique at the same time.

WRRV Sessions With Ryan Perdz
Ahead of his performance, Ryan shared with us his dream of one day heading out on the road with bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or Pearl Jam. Right now though, Ryan is preparing for a big run in support of Daughtry's 20 Years Unplugged Tour, which by the way has a number of shows well within our travel proximity:
Our August 2026 Sessions with Ryan Perdz is sure to be another one of those 'I can't believe I got to see him then....' moments for those that joined us in the taproom, and certainly a 'I can't believe I missed him when....' for those that didn't.
We can't wait to see what's next for Ryan Perdz, and again thank him for making WRRV Sessions one of the first stops after the album release.
