Orange County Fair Speedway’s 100th Anniversary

It's safe to say Orange County is making some major moves. It's quickly becoming one of the fastest growing counties with the soon-to-be home of an amusement park dedicated completely to Legos and the Orange County Fair Speedway bringing the fun this summer.

The speedway is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than having Tim McGraw (yep that's right) country legend TIM MCGRAW perform on August 14th.

This rockin' performance will kick off a three-day racing event where full-time stock car driver Brett Hearn will return to the speedway. Not only is this a fun way to spend a summer night, but the speedway has a special spot in Brett's heart.

"I came here with my Mom when I was eight years old, I began my career here when I was sixteen years old, and I'm astounded by what they are creating here with other events," explained Brett.

But even before all this happens, July 4th is right around the corner and the speedway will be hosting a massive fireworks display and a rodeo the following day. Fireworks, fast cars and a rodeo, it doesn't get much more patriotic than that.

Now to keep up with all the entertainment, the grounds have seen some upgrades including new roofs, seats and ticket booths. Although, I can't imagine when Tim performs that anyone will be sitting down.

Also, a little fun fact I learned about the Orange County Fair Speedway, did you know its technically considered to be in the town of Wallkill? I certainly didn't...
