Parking Spot for Dogs

Swedish furniture giant IKEA (or the devil as my husband calls them) has come up with another cool concept...and this time its for your dog! Introducing doggy parking bays! The first of it's kind these dedicated spaces have artificial grass and a water bowl. The concept was unveiled at IKEA's Colonge, Germany location and so far is receiving a warm welcome...maybe even a steamy welcome!

The concept of course is to encourage people to leave their pups in the comforts of the barking spots rather than in hot cars. Sadly people leaving pets in cars is becoming more common and we recently saw just how deadly it can be after a NYC resident left his two pups unattended at the HV Balloon fest.  I know pet owners want to take Fido wherever they go but don't you want Fido to be around for you to take him places! Maybe one day we'll see more business being just as cool and thoughtful as IKEA...in the meantime you be thoughtful and keep your pet cool!
