Get ready, Phish fans! The band’s cherished New Year’s run at Madison Square Garden is back, scheduled for December 28-31, 2024. This highly anticipated event will mark a monumental occasion, bringing Phish’s total shows at the iconic venue to an impressive 87, solidifying their place in the history of live music at The World’s Most Famous Arena.

A Year of Milestones

2024 has been a whirlwind year for Phish, characterized by an exceptionally busy tour schedule. They kicked off the year with sold-out performances at the Sphere in Las Vegas, showcasing their relentless energy and dedication to fans. In July, the band released their 16th studio album, further fueling the excitement. The summer tour wrapped up with a celebrated four-night stand at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, followed by a standout appearance at the Mondegreen festival in Delaware.

Record-Breaking Success

Last year’s New Year’s run was a financial triumph, grossing nearly $9.2 million from 71,740 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. With the countdown to 2025 approaching, fans eagerly anticipate another unforgettable experience at MSG, where the atmosphere is electric and the music is legendary.

Tradition and Innovation

Phish has made it a tradition to perform at Madison Square Garden around New Year’s since their debut there in 1994. The New Year’s Eve show, in particular, is renowned for its unique three-set format and elaborate theatrical “gags.” In 2023, the band transported fans to “Gamehendge” with a live performance of guitarist Trey Anastasio’s college thesis, complete with actors, dancers, and intricate storytelling.

As excitement builds for this year’s shows, fans can look forward to an electrifying celebration to ring in the new year!
