Linda Cohn, a pioneer in the world of sports broadcasting arrived in the Hudson Valley.

Just a few weeks after award winning sports broadcaster Ian Eagle landed at Marist, arguably an even bigger name in the field of sports media, Linda Cohn, came to campus.

The ESPN anchor was joined on stage with SportsCenter producer Rick Angelo for a conversation with Marist Professor Dr. Keith Strudler.

Cohn is a pioneer for woman sportscasters, about 23 years ago, she became one of first full-time female TV sports anchors.

In 1987, Cohn made sportscasting history by becoming the first full-time U.S. female sports anchor on a national radio network.

Then in the early 1990s the New York native was hired by ESPN. She has anchored SportsCenter more than anyone in the history of the network.

Today she continues to break barriers which allows future female sportscasters the ability to dream big.
