An actor is the proud new owner of some serious hardware after their role in one of the most fun and unusual shows of 2023 won them an Emmy award. The coolest part, however, is that the show was shot at some very iconic spots in the Hudson Valley.

Our corner of New York has quickly become a favorite location for an impressive list of television shows and movies. Apple's Severance, HBO Max's Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, and many more all have recognizable Hudson Valley landmarks in the background. The Emmy-award winning dramady, however, might have more Hudson Valley love than all the others put together.

Emmy-Winning Show Poker Face Filmed in the Hudson Valley, NY

Peacock's Poker Face, starring Natasha Lyonne (who got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress), was filmed in nearly every county of the Hudson Valley. When the show premiered in 2023, one of the most fun reasons to watch was to see which parts of our hometown were featured in each episode. Emmy award-winning episode five, titled Time of the Monkey, used exterior shots of one of the newer (but also one of the most recognizable) buildings in New Paltz, NY.
