I Bet You’ve Never Seen a Punk Rock Flea Market Before!

Back in middle school, I was definitely a little punk. I went to a Catholic school, so we were forced to wear a uniform; however, I would always wear it a little disheveled and I'd get in trouble for wearing my hat all the time. It was my attempt at "fighting the establishment" and carving my own identity. Outside of school, you could find me in my hoodie, my band T's, ripped jeans or sweatpants, and barbed wire bracelets. I had many great memories going to The Chance, being one of the few kids moshing in the crowd.

Though I may dress different, I still love and appreciate all the same music. "It's not a phase, Mom!" That being said, I have never seen a flea market quite like this before! Just looking at the pictures, I'm getting 2005 Hot Topic vibes, and I love it! Never before have I seen a flea market completely dedicated to Punk Rock!

Punk Rock Flea Market

The Punk Rock Flea Market is the place to shop for awesome clothing, records, crafts, art, and most of all old punk junk! It looks like all my college friends from the music department selling some old merch in order to finance their upcoming DYI Basement Show Tour. According to the event on Facebook, over 3,000 people from all over the Northeast have responded to the event!

I feel like this is the kind of event that you can find anything: T-Shirt's from Green Day's first tour, drum sticks used by Travis Barker, ticket stubs from The Ramones, guitar picks from Rancid, and so much more! Not to mention, some pretty awesome vintage CD's and records. I know I want to see what this place has! It's a treasure trove of punk!

Depending on where exactly you are in the Hudson Valley, this flea market is about a 3 hour drive. Like that has ever stopped us from celebrating the music and lifestyle we love! Make a whole weekend out of it.

The Punk Rock Flea Market is being held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 22 S 23rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The flea market is a two day event happening September 23rd and 24th from 10am to 5pm each day. No worries about the weather because it is an indoor event inside the armory. If having this flea market in an old armory isn't punk, I don't know what is!

Admission is $10 at the door while kids under 12 get in for free. Dogs on leashes are welcome! The event says nothing about kids or partners on leashes, so do with that what you will. I'm sure you can buy collars there.
