Former San Diego Padre and Baseball Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn has lost his battle with salivary gland cancer. He played his entire 20 year careen with the Padres, a feat you don't see much anymore. He accumulated more than 3,000 hits and was a 15 time All-Star. In recent years he has been coaching the San Diego State University baseball team.

Baseball runs in the Gwynn family, Tony's son Tony Jr. currently plays for the Phillies.

The Baseball Hall of Fame put together a nice tribute video today.
