Saosin have finally released an official version of "I Can Tell There Was an Accident Here Earlier."

The early tune by the California emo-rock titans has previously existed in dual demo versions sang by different vocalists. Now, it appears the dust has settled on a final iteration of the stone-cold post-hardcore classic.

Reigniting emo fans' early-2000s memories, the fresh mix of Saosin's "I Can Tell There Was an Accident Here Earlier" emerged last week (Feb. 27) on Spotify.

For years prior, the song had floated around the internet in two different variants — one sung by current and former Saosin vocalist Anthony Green, the other by the band's mid-period frontman, Cove Reber. Even still, the song had never appeared on a Saosin album.

But evidence that something new was up with the number first appeared in December 2019. At that time, Saosin guitarist Beau Burchell shared a YouTube guitar play-through of the original Green-fronted demo. Since then, it seems the musician has given that demo a more thorough once-over and officially released the results.

"On Spotify now," Burchell relayed Sunday (March 1) via Instagram. "Other streaming services to follow. Thank you for all the love."

Green, who co-founded Saosin in 2003, originally left the group the following year. He returned in 2014 after spending time in Circa Survive, with whom he still performs. Reber replaced Green in Saosin in 2004; he's most recently taken part in an anniversary tour with Scary Kids Scaring Kids.
