Skeletal remains of a female wearing a Marist College sweatshirt were found last week outside of Boston and authorities are seeking clues.

According to a post on the Dedham Police Facebook page, a resident found the bones on Tuesday near a senior housing facility. They were taken to the medical examiner and determined to be human. Authorities returned to the scene Wednesday morning with a K-9 unit and more bones were found nearby.

Based on the condition of the remains, police suspect the girl had been dead for a least a few months. She is thought to be approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and in her late teens/early 20s. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Anyone with information should call the Dedham Police Department (781) 751-9300 or State Police (781) 830-4990. The sweatshirt below is not the exact item she was wearing, but similar. However, the jewelry pictured was worn by the deceased.
