Hudson Valley Super Bowl Ties

The Big Game was one for the books. Super Bowl 60 has come to an end with the Seattle Seahawks dominating the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

If you're a native New Yorker, you probably didn't have skin in the game. However, there were some local reasons to watch.

On the field, Kicker for the Seattle Seahawks Jason Myers set a Super Bowl record by kicking 5 field goals. Myers is a Marist University graduate.

Behind the scenes, the Wives and Girlfriends (aka The WAGS) received gifts that were made right here in the Hudson Valley.

Spackenkill Graduate Featured in Super Bowl Commercial

I think we can all agree, the Super Bowl commercials were kind of lackluster this year.

Personally, I liked the Dunkin throw back commercial with all the 90s sitcom actors and the Bud Light keg escape commercial. But that's just me.

At one point I thought I saw a familiar face on my screen. It was influencer and dermatologist Dr. Muneeb Shah, better known as doctorly on Instagram.

Shah also happens to be a graduate of Spackenkill High School. During this years Super Bowl Dr. Shah showed up in a Neutrogena commercial, which according to the Spackenkill grad was "unexpected." On Instagram Shah wrote "Unexpected Super Bowl Appearance. Had an incredible time shooting this with Tate McRae, absolutely insane to see our Hydro Boost ad run during the Super Bowl this year!" Shah added:

I’ve been working closely with the incredible @neutrogena team for over a year now, a lot of exciting launches on the horizon 🙏

Take a look:

Super Bowl Halftime Performances Throughout the Years

Besides the commercials and, of course, the game, the talk of the town was the Bad Bunny Halftime Show.

Some loved it, others hated it. Who should perform next year?

15 Country Artists Primed to Headline a Super Bowl Halftime Show

Any way you slice it, country music is long overdue for its time in the spotlight at the Super Bowl. Although several artists have sung the National Anthem at the game, the coveted halftime show has been anything but country for over three decades.

The last time anyone from the genre headlined the performance was in 1994, when Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, Wynonna Judd and Naomi Judd did a medley of their biggest hits. With country music gaining in popularity, there's no better time than now to put one of our own in the spotlight. Here are 15 artists who are already primed to take on the task.
