It was an emotional weekend for many Hudson Valley'ers after an overnight post on social media regarding the area's premiere flea market indicated a massive change.

Confusion, some may even classify what followed as hysteria, as the post circulated several community groups and had the area buzzing with the 'what if's.'

Stormville Flea Market Scare

Don't be sad that it's over. Be grateful for the times that we had.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for everyone who has supported and patronized me throughout the years. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in my journey, and I couldn't have achieved this without you.

During a bout of insomnia Friday into Saturday, I woke up, and like many, began scrolling social media. Coming across a post in a community group that had shared what appeared to be the official 'Stormville Airport Antique Show and Flea Market's page, with the post/text above.

I actually stood straight up, like go out of bed, hands on head, audibly talking to myself 'this can't be true, how could the Flea Market just end like that.'

Stormville Flea Market Page Hacked

I started clicking around to other pages to see what I could find out, as there were tons of comments on the one particular group post I saw, but on the actual Stormville Facebook account, commenting was turned off, so I thought that was strange.

When going to the flea market website liked through their social media pages, visitors found the following screen:

A bit more clicking around and I found what appeared to be the actual correct website for the popular Dutchess County flea market, indicating that they had been impacted by 'fraudulent activity.'

Thankfully, our fears were not true at all, and the notorious market that we love to visit each year (or many times each year) will return for it's 55th season in April. Dates for 2025 are as follows:

  • April 26th and 27th
  • May 24th and 25th
  • July 5th
  • August 30th and 31st
  • October 11th and 12th
  • November 1st
