There Are 3 NY Counties Gov. Cuomo Has Never Visited, And One in the HV He’s Been To Once
Governor Andrew Cuomo is a busy man. As he enters his third term, Cuomo can be seen attending events across a pretty large state on a regular basis. One day he might be signing a bill from his office on 3rd Avenue in New York City, and the next he's heading to the western part of the state to survey damage from a bad storm.
It's a lot of handle considering New York's also has the fourth largest population out of any state in the country.
But according to the detailed schedule posted from his office's website, there are actually three counties out of the state's 62 that he's never visited. As of August 2018, Cuomo has never been to Chenango, Fulton and Livingston counties. All three are generally rural counties in the central part of the state.
If you think he's already stretched thin, then also consider there are ten other counties he's only been to once, including Putnam County here in the Hudson Valley.
How about the rest of the Hudson Valley? According to the map, Cuomo has made official stops in Rockland County 15 times, Ulster 14, Dutchess 12, Orange 7, Sullivan 5, Greene 4, and Columbia 3. Westchester had the most with 74, but that makes sense since he lives there.
