There are few things more 90s than the cinematic classic that is Space Jam. As a result, there are few things more cherished by those who were kids when it came out. It's a Gen-Y classic, distinctly of its time: Bugs Bunny, Michael Jordan, the dude who played Newman in Seinfeld, Muggsy Bogues, and Shawn Bradley.

And since they just announced a few weeks back that LeBron James is going to be starring in an all-new Space Jam movie, let's enjoy this absolutely bonkers Nike commercial from 1993 that was impetus for the feature-length Michael Jordan/Bugs Bunny vehicle:

I mean, it really is basically the exact same thing, with less Bill Murray, and with less Seal covering the Steve Miller Band:

Wait a second, I completely forgot, but R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" originated with this movie, too!

My god, this movie contributed so much to our culture I didn't even realize. And if you haven't checked it out yet, go look at the Space Jam website; it's been left up there since the movie came out.
