Tony Cappillino Indoor Golf Tournament Set For This Weekend
If you're looking for some indoor fun this weekend, there's still time to sign up for the 23rd annual Tony Cappillino Golf Tournament. The indoor mini-golf tournament takes place in the River District in Poughkeepsie.
The tournament began in 1997 as a tribute to the former owner of Dutchess Beer Distributors Tony Cappillio and raises money for local families who are dealing with serious/life-threatening medical conditions.
Participants play a hole of indoor golf at each restaurant or club and then move on to the next. It's a 12:00 PM shotgun start and the participating establishments include:
- Mahoney's Irish Pub
- The Brown Derby
- Noah's Ark
- Caffe Aurora
- Milanese
- Amici's
- Italian Center
- Shamrock Club
Anyone interested in participating in the tournament can call Pat Rohan at (845) 471-7026. This year's event is sponsored by the Poughkeepsie River District Business Association and Dutchess Beer Distributors.
