Have you ever just thought to yourself, road trip?

Those words are simply, music to my ears. I find that my most enjoyable experiences have come from the spur of the moment opportunities in life.

Finding hidden gems in the Hudson Valley feels as if you won the lottery.

Thankfully, over the years I have randomly came across some cool places to visit. Turning down a random road in the Hudson Valley can bring you to some new places. You never know what you may find and that's the best part about it.

On the other hand, there are out of town and state visitors that come to our area to explore. They may enjoy the hiking trails, to scenic outings and most importantly, the art.

Art in the Hudson Valley truly is everywhere but not everyone has their eyes opened and peeled for it. From spray paintings on walls to gorgeous murals and even paintings in local businesses, we are lucky enough to have it all around us.

This reminds us of the beauty of the beautiful state and area that we live in.

Here are the top 3 sculpture parks that are a must visit this spring in the Hudson Valley.

With no surprise, my sister brought me here a few years back. We were greeted by such nice staff and security, explored the grounds, and viewed the beautiful artwork. There was so much to see and more than our minds would ever expect. We took unique pictures as well and had such a fun day together.

On site, there were also bikes to rent to cruise around at your own speed. There is nothing quite like an open air museums.

These rock displays are unlike anything you have ever witnessed before.

The first time I visited this location, it took my breath away. On site, the grounds date back to 1903 and years later Harvey Fate took over and purchased the property. He was known as the founder of Bard College. He construed Opus 40 which is known as the “labyrinthine world” with everything made in stone.

There are ramps, sculptures and an old pool and fountain to see. You can see the love he had for masonry work.

Spend time in mother nature while observing these one of a kind sculptures.

Brunel Park was something I drove past and had to check out. I was greeted by beautiful bushes of flowers and  unique sculptures all around. Some of them were nestled in with the flowers while others were so big you could not miss them. This was the home of Emile Brunel which makes it so special that the legacy lives in.

When visiting, be sure to grab a brochure when you first arrive to make sure you find all of the sculptures. It feels like you discovered a hidden treasure every time you find a new one.  My favorite was Natache, ask about her.
