Those who grew up in the Hudson Valley or even anywhere in New York could agree that the winter years were chilly. However, being outside building snowmen, going snow tubing and sledding were memories that will live on forever.

This was one of the winter activities that I really enjoyed as a child. Thankfully, I had places to enjoy this winter sport We may not have been thinking about this as kids but, sledding is a great way to boost our endurance. It even provides great body strength as we walk uphill and downhill, possibly carrying items.

Being outside is also great for our well-being. Even in the winter, we can receive vitamin D from the sun, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy nature. This is a great way to spend quality time with friends and family.
