Ever wanted to tour a winery and get the personalized treatment? How about getting a tour of a winery from the owner them self? October is a great time to visit a winery in person. In New York especially with the great fall colors. Grapes have been picked, so the staff his a bit more time to spend with a person or persons who are coming to check them out.

Plus, since the grapes have been picked there is a good chance that you will get to see a bit more of the behind the scenes operation of a working winery. The one thing that doesn't change by going to visit a winery, any time of year, is that you will get to sample their wines.

This Sunday, (an each Sunday in October) at 3PM local Hudson Valley winery, Whitecliff Vineyards, 331 McKinstry Rd, Gardiner, New York 10024) is hosting special tours of the property with the owner. For a $30 fee, you can take a deluxe tour with the winery owner and get a special wine tasting, plus be able to take a peak at the wine making process and get your questions answered by the owner.

For more information, call the winery direct at 845-255-4613, reservations are required.
