Trout Stocking in the Hudson Valley from NYS DEC
"On March 17, ECOs and DEC Fisheries employees joined the Federation of Dutchess County Fish and Game Clubs to stock nearly 9,000 brown trout throughout Sprout and Fishkill creeks in Dutchess County", the NYS DEC recently reported. The "fishmobiles" they use (below) are quite impressive.
The activities aren't just limited to Dutchess County. Every year, streams and rivers across the Hudson Valley are stocked with trout that comes from DEC fisheries (below). In all, nearly one million pounds of fish are released in New York State.
