Tulip Dig Days at Kelder's Farm in Ulster County
From May15th through May 18th, Kelder's Farm is offering an experience called Tulip Dig Days. It will give farm visitors the chance to not only harvest this year's flowers, but to transplant the bulbs in their very own garden:
Join us for our Tulip Dig Days... Purchase your admission tickets, and then it's just $5 per bag to dig your very own tulip bulbs. Bring a small shovel and get ready to plant a piece of Kelder's Farm in your own garden for a vibrant spring display next year.
Benefits of Planting Bulbs
Kelder's Farm offered "pick your own" options during the Tulip Festival, but while beautiful, the picked flowers only last for several days before wilting. By digging up the actual bulb, the flower will grow each year, supplying a brand new bloom each year.
