Two Winter Weather Advisories Now thru Thursday

So I guess you can say we aren't done yet. When will February be over? It is the shortest month but it's weather makes it feel like the longest. Below we have the Hazardous Weather notice from NOAA for this week. It seems we have two weather events heading our way. The first of which will be arriving tonight into tomorrow. If you read the NOAA forecast for the next 48 hours you will see that we are expecting what I refer to as a case of the February's. Snow then rain then snow again.

The long weekend has a lot of us out of our normal Monday routine but if you are one of the few who have to head out in the morning just know that you may encounter less than hospitable conditions. Mother Nature gave us two cold but sunny days in a row to enjoy some outdoor time but that seems to be coming to a close over for the next day or so.

Tuesday looks like it might be the day to see some sun but Wednesday into Thursday we will be looking at more winter weather.

Tonight

Snow, mainly after 8pm. Low around 25. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Rain and snow before 3pm, then a chance of rain between 3pm and 4pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 4pm. High near 36. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Monday Night

Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tuesday

Sunny, with a high near 32. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Tuesday Night

Partly cloudy, with a low around 13. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday

A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Wednesday Night

Snow likely before midnight, then sleet likely between midnight and 5am, then sleet likely, possibly mixed with freezing rain after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday

A chance of freezing rain before 8am, then a chance of rain and snow showers between 8am and noon, then a chance of rain showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Another storm system will impact the region late Wednesday into
Thursday bringing accumulating snow transitioning to mixed
precipitation including sleet and freezing rain. A Winter Weather
Advisory will likely be needed.
