There is a new champ! A new "Hot Dog King" has been crowned in the annual "Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Championship" at Coney Island. The event takes place every 4th of July and the winner (wiener?) of the last eight years has been Joey "Jaws" Chestnut.

Joey Chestnut went into this years event thinking that he was going to take home the mustard belt, but Matt Stonie (last years runner up) finished this years competition by eating 62 hot dogs.

According to Nathan's website, and based on the calorie count of one hot dog, Stonie consumed 17,360 calories, 1,116 grams of fat, and 48,360 milligrams of sodium.
