
National Hot Dog Day, What are Your Favorite Toppings?
National Hot Dog Day is on July 17, 2019. What does that mean? For most people it means nothing. For hot dog enthusiasts, it is a big deal. It means time to bust out your best 'dogs' and get every possible topping out of the fridge and pile them on.
What is your favorite thing to put on a hot dog? According to a survey done by the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council (nope, didn't make that up, its a real place in Washington, DC) here are the top toppings:
- mustard
- ketchup
- onions
- chili
- relish
So we have the top toppings, what is your favorite way to cook your hot dogs? Do you get the 'dirty water' dog by boiling or simmering them? Do you cook in a pan or on a flat top? Or is grilling your #1 way to go. Let us know!
