Snow has yet to fall in most of the Mid-Hudson Valley, but despite that, forecasters still think up to 10 inches of snow could fall in the local area.

A Winter Weather Warning is still in effect for the Hudson Valley until Thursday morning.

In their most recent update, around 1 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service is still predicting a decent amount of snow for Dutchess, Orange, Ulster, and Putnam counties.

Dutchess County: 3 to 7 inches are expected across northern Dutchess with 6 to 10 inches across southern Dutchess.

Orange County: Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches are expected.

Putnam County: Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches are expected.

Ulster County: 1 to 4 inches, with localized amounts up to 6 inches in southeastern Ulster County.

Hudson Valley Weather is predicting less snow for the area. In their most recent forecast, around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, they predicted a dusting to four inches of snow for many parts of the Mid-Hudson Valley. Higher amounts should be near I-84 and east of the Hudson River.

However, Hudson Valley Weather also still believes parts of southern Orange, southern Dutchess and Putnam counties could receive 4 to 8 inches of snow this evening. With snow totals rising the further south you are.
