VFW Post 170's 5th Annual Car Show

VFW Post 170 is holding their 5th Annual Car Show this Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, August 31st (rain date is Sunday, September 1st) from noon til 5. For those who want to show off their cars, trucks, and/or motorcycles, registration starts at 9am, and it only costs $20! You don't have to worry about registering ahead of time, just get there in the morning of the event!

The Car Show will be held at the VFW  at 1 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, 12603. The day will be filled with hot rods, trophies for all classes, food, cash bar, 50/50 raffles, and more! If you have any questions, call Rocco at 845-453-7961 or Hank at 845-464-0253.

Organizer, Post 170 supporter, and car enthusiast Rocco Perrotta came up with the idea a few years ago because he thought it would help raise funds for the various programs that Post 170 offers to support veterans.  It has been very successful over the past four years.    “The VFW does a tremendous amount of work for our veterans and the community in general which requires money,” he told Mid-Hudson News. “This event raises a lot of money that goes to supporting our heroes and helping those in need.”
