Viral and Terrible ‘Wonka Experience’ Coming to New York

Recently, a "Wonka Experience" in Scotland went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The event, which used AI-generated images to advertise a spectacular and vibrant wonderland, turned out to be hardly more than several paid actors milling around an abandoned warehouse, leaving children in tears and parents fuming (below). Now it's coming to upstate New York...

Foothills is proud to bring you the most disappointing, pathetic event you have ever witnessed!", began the event description of "The Authentic 'Willy's Chocolate Experience' Experience" in Oneonta, NY. What to Expect at New York's "Wonka Experience"

The tongue-in-cheek even promises "grossly underprepared" actors, "deeply underwhelming" set designs, and absolutely no chocolate to speak of. They also warn potential customers who are unaware of the disaster in Scotland to stay far, far away:

 If you are not terminally online, this event is NOT for you! This event will be intentionally sad, disappointing, and terrible. Your kids will cry and be traumatized for life

Unlike the original event that charged for admission, the experience in Oneonta will be donation-only, and will have a cash bar on hand for patrons over 21. While the disaster in Scotland was universally panned, it actually turned out to be a huge boost for some of the original performers.

Success for Actors After "Wonka Experience" Failure

It turns out that the phrase "any press is good press" has proved true for Wonka actors. The 16-year-old who played "The Unknown" just received a job offer at the UK's London Dungeon, and there is now a horror movie in the works based off the character as well. Even the "Meth Lab Oompa Loompa Lady" (below) is now making money on Cameo.
