Wallkill Woman Arrested for Drug Possession & DWIA-Drugs
A Wallkill woman was arrested for drug possession and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
New York State Police at Highland conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Emily J. Rivero-Ramos for failing to use the designated lane and failure to keep right on State Route 44/55 in the Town of Plattekill.
Following an interview and field sobriety test Rivero-Ramos was allegedly found to be under the influence of drugs.
Rivero-Ramos also was found to be in unlawful possession of a quantity of Alprazolam, Vicodin, Trazadone and Hydrocodone, all of which were classified as controlled substances, police say.
Rivero Ramos was charged with 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony, 5 counts of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and driving while ability impaired by drugs, a vehicle and traffic law misdemeanor.
Rivero-Ramos was arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Justice Court and subsequently released on her own recognizance.
