Wayfair To Open First New York Store Front in Lower Hudson Valley

Did You Know Wayfair Has Physical Stores?

Personally, I only knew Wayfair as an online retailer. All of the commercials starring Kelly Clarkson and other celebrities never mentioned a physical storefront to visit, right?

Or am I missing something?

Turns out back in May of 2024, Wayfair announced the opening of their first ever " large-format Wayfair store."

According to a Wayfair press release from last year the store was opened in Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Illinois and was about 150,000 square feet. They call it "a one stop shop for all things home - including furniture, home décor, housewares and home improvement products, for any style space or budget."

Also included in The Wayfair store, at least the one in Illinois, an onsite restaurant called The Porch.

In a press release from Wayfair released on May 15th, 2025, Wayfair announced they will open their first New York store front at Ridge Hill in Yonkers, New York.

Vice President of merchandising and stores at Wayfair, Liza Lefkowski, said in the statement "Over the past year, we've seen firsthand how a thoughtfully designed physical store can deepen engagement, drive growth, and introduce the Wayfair brand to entirely new audiences."

Lefkowski adds:

 "The upcoming Yonkers store builds on that momentum—bringing our immersive retail experience to the New York metro area and delivering the same inspiration, convenience, and flexibility our customers have come to expect."

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano shared on Facebook "Yonkers is excited to be among the first markets to host its large-format retail store. Happy Shopping, Yonkers!"

What to Expect at The New Wayfair Store in Yonkers, New York

The Wayfair location at Ridge Hill will  be approximately 114,000 square feet and will have 19 departments  "showcasing furniture, decor, outdoor living, home improvement and more."

At the Ridge Hill location there will be a "large assortment of Wayfair Verified items" leaving shoppers confident that they are seeing the most trusted products which have been carefully reviewed by the Wayfair team.

As of now, it doesn't look like there will be an in-store restaurant at this Wayfair location, but things could always change. Fingers crossed!

Wayfair at Ridge Hill is slated to open in early 2027 but no exact date has been announced yet. We'll make sure to update you when it does!
