What did New Yorkers Google in 2016?

I think we can all agree that 2016 was a really weird year. I still can't wrap my head around it.

I'll be the first to admit that I did a lot of Googling this year. Mostly about the election because I was trying to better myself and have some information in my arsenal when I went to cast my vote. With that being said, I also Googled a bunch of useless information too. Like UFO Sightings in the Hudson Valley and substitutes for cardamom for pumpkin pie recipes (all spice works just fine.)

The real estate company Estatley dug deep into Google analytics and data and some how came up with a list of  "What Each State Googled More Frequently." Hawaii was very curious about the supermoon, Washington state was concerned about the X-Files reboot (and rightfully so, it was great) and Rhode Island grieved over Harambe. New Yorkers, however, we're interested in the Panama Papers.

Guess what I just did?

Yes. I googled Panama Papers. Pardon me for not being knowledgeable on the issue, but apparently the Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents about wealthy and public individuals. Documents that were at one time private. Interesting.
