This time of year everyone is looking to kick back and relax with their friends and family and what better way to do it than with an adult beverage. Here is day 3 of WRRV's “The 12 Days of Cocktails.”

This is a Caramel Apple Mimosa, from delish.com:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. Caramel. (You can make your own or purchase this. Don't feel like you have to get the one in the squeeze bottle, as you will be spooning this into a small dish to rim the glass with).
  • 2 tbsp. Cinnamon Sugar
  • 1 cup Fresh Apple Cider, chilled
  • 1 cup Caramel Vodka, chilled. You can use caramel or salted caramel, it is up to you and your guests. If for some reason, you cannot find caramel vodka, use Butterscotch Schnapps.
  • 1 (750ml) Bottle Sparkling wine, chilled. You don't have to spend a great deal of money on this. Look for something in the @$10 price range. Extra Dry Prosecco, Cooks Extra Dry, either would work well for this.
  • Apple slices, for garnish
  • 4 Champagne Glasses

Directions:
Pour the caramel sauce into a small dish, not too deep. Use a second small dish to pour the cinnamon sugar into. Next dip champagne flutes into caramel to rim glass, then dip in cinnamon sugar. In a pitcher, combine the 1 cup of the apple cider and the 1 cup of Caramel Vodka. Stir. Pour the contents of the pitcher, equally into the 4 champagne glasses.  Top off the glasses with the sparkling wine. Garnish with an apple slice and serve.
