Thanks to Ubisoft you don't need to go to Paris to experience the magic of Notre Dame. The company is giving away free copies of their game so you can see it for yourself.

According to the game developer, Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed: Unity takes place during the French Revolution in Paris. the game offers an immersive experience and allows players to get a close up virtual tour of Notre Dame. Ubisoft is offering free PC dowloads of the game until April 25. You can get your copy here.

The following is the statement from Ubisoft.

"In light of the devastating fire at the Notre Dame de Paris, Ubisoft wants to give all gamers the chance to experience the majesty and beauty of the cathedral through Assassins Creed Unity on PC.

From April 17th at 10:00 am to April 25th at 03:00 am (your local time). you can download Assassins Creed Unity on PC for free here, and you’ll own it forever in your Uplay games library.

We encourage all of you who want to help with the restoration and reconstruction of the Cathedral to join Ubisoft in donating."

As a casual gamer, I have never played any of the Assasin's Creed games. This will be a great opportunity to check it out and experience a huge piece of history at the same time.
