State Police have arrested a Hudson Valley man after a robbery at the Cortlandt Train Station.

Yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m Troopers were dispatched to the train station after the report of a possible robbery. When police arrived they apprehended the suspected assailant Bernard J. Ervin, who was attempting to flee the train station just after the altercation.

The 26 year old Peekskill man was arrested after an investigation revealed that he physically attacked another person while attempting to steal their cell phone. Both Ervin and his victim were transported to Hudson Valley Hospital for an evaluation.

Ervin has been charged with Robbery 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, and Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony.
