The more things change, the more they stay the same, isn't that how it goes? I mean, watch this video, and think about the most recent time you rode the subway. Maybe it's been years, maybe you rode it this morning. But either way, you will undoubtedly recognize how startling it is that so much of it looks the same in this video from 1990.

Ellis Henican, who has since gone on to be a bestselling author, Pulitzer Prize winner, and radio personality in New York City. But at one point, he served as the subway reporter for Newsday. He posted this video to his YouTube channel, documenting the ejector rooms, the subway bathrooms, and what he calls the "subway oddities" that you might never have thought about.

Check it out and notice how remarkably the same much of it is. I mean, aside from some of the haircuts.
