
4 Charged In Brutal Beating Death of Chester Man
Four people have been charged with murder in the second degree after a Chester man died from injuries sustained in a savage beating, police said.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18 around 8:15 p.m., a passing motorist on North Hudson Street in the Village of Chester spotted a man severely beaten and bound, police said. Authorities arrived to find Michael Partridge, 28, of Chester, who was then taken to the Orange Regional Medical Center, where he died as a result of his injuries.
An investigation lead authorities to arrest Seth Pelsang, 30, of Goshen; Timothy Smith, 36, of Goshen; Courtney Clemenza, 31, of Chester; and Robert Haskell, 54, of Goshen in connection with the crime. All four were charged with murder in the second degree and arraigned in the town of Wallkill and remanded to the Orange County Jail with no bail.
Anyone with information into the incident is asked to call the State Police Barracks in Middletown at 845-344-5300. Police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.
