After the lawsuit against Beck's that I reported on last month, another brewery is finding itself being accused of misleading the public.

You know their commercials. You know the Jamaican vibe. You know "Hooray beer!"

But did you know that Red Stripe is actually brewed in Latrobe, the city in Pennsylvania best known for being the birthplace of Rolling Rock?

Well, a class-action lawsuit is pretty confident that you didn't, as it claims that Red Stripe's parent company Diageo uses deceptive phrasing like "Jamaican style lager" and short brown bottles to trick customers and that the text declaring where the beer is actually made is  “obscure” and “not easily noticed by consumers.”

Furthermore, the suit takes issue with the substantially higher price of Red Stripe compared to other domestic products, when it is made right here in the good ol' US of A with domestic products.

Hooray [possible settlement] beer!
