Two males and one female have been arrested in Kingston after a shooting that left one person dead.

Last week we told you about a police investigation that was ongoing in Kingston, New York after gunshots rang out on July 27th around 9 p.m. Kingston Police told us that officers were dispatched to Prospect Street near Greenkill Avenue in Kingston at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 27th to a report of a victim of a gunshot. When first responders arrived on the scene they found a deceased person who appeared to have been shot.

Kingston, NY Police Investigate Shooting

Kingston Police Department (KPD) immediately started investigating and not soon after announced that the deceased victim was 28-year-old Dominique Green. At the time, police didn't share much more information regarding the shooting or the victim but did ask for the public's help in figuring out what happened. Just two days after the shooting police announced that they have arrested 3 people in connection to the homicide.

KPD Arrest Three

After an intense investigation, KPD has announced that three subjects have been arrested in connection to the murder. 26-year-old Shaliza Dhanraj of Rotterdam, New York, 25-year-old Maliek Fredricks of Schenectady and 25-year-old Nyqwan Monroe of New York City were arrested by KPD of July 29th. All subjects were charged with 2 counts of Burglary 1st, and 1 count of Murder 2nd, all felonies. All three were arrested and arraigned in Kingston City Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

When news of the arrests broke Kingston Mayor Steve Noble said, "I want to thank the entire Kingston Police Department team and our partners in law enforcement for their quick work on this case. The loss of life is devastating but at every instance, our staff work hard to find justice for the victim and their family and friends."

Numerous agencies assisted KPD in apprehending all 3 subjects including the Town of Ulster Police Department, the Ulster County Sherriff's Office, New York State Police, the Town of Colonie Police, and the City of Schenectady Police.
