After spending much of his time in Smashing Pumpkins mode over the last year-plus, Billy Corgan recently took some time to travel America and find inspiration. The result is a new solo album titled Cotillions, which will be released digitally on Nov. 22.

Going under his given name, William Patrick Corgan, the musician is taking on a different approach than usual, digging into Americana-styled tracks. The new album will consist of 17 songs in all, with the music written across the U.S. and recorded in both Chicago and Nashville.

The album will also feature a few guest appearances, including Corgan's Smashing Pumpkins bandmate Jeff Schroeder, as well as Katie Cole and other notable Nashville session musicians.

Corgan recently announced tour dates and he intends to play some of his new Cotillions music in the midst of his career spanning sets. Dates for the tour can be seen below. Get ticketing info here.
