Surprise! WRRV Sessions Is Back For August 2026

We hit you with a surprise WRRV Sessions announcement during tonight's (Tuesday 8/04) Five O'Clock Road Rage, inviting you to join us on Tuesday August 18th for our next live show in the taproom at Newburgh Brewing Company and introduced you to a new music discovery from Ryan Perdz titled Sour.

'Sour’ is a song about self hatred. Not wanting to bring anyone into your life, being so stuck in your own ways. It’s a stubborn way of yearning for change but not knowing where to begin.

My personal opinion: his voice is the perfect mix of some of my favorite artists. I hear bits of Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell in there, like a Temple of the Dog-like merging of iconic grunge musicians. You'll have to come check him out on the 18th at Newburgh Brewing and let me know your thoughts.

An Intro To Ryan Perdz

A native New Yorker, Ryan hails from Buffalo, and the 24-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has 'quietly attracted an audience of 1 million-plus followers on social media by playing unshakable and undeniable hard rock teeming with grunge grit and unapologetic Gen-Z honesty.'

Ryan's initial social media success came from his take on various alt-rock covers, including Bush's Glycerine, and Smells Like Teen Sprit from Nirvana.

2020 brought Ryan's first EP, and this year he'll release his first full length debut-record.

Thank you to Newburgh Brewing Company for opening up for us for this special Tuesday-night WRRV Sessions show. Business as usual, doors at 4pm, Ryan will sit down with Val at 6pm for an interview and then take the stage for a performance.
