New Paltz Hotspot Soft Launches Vegan Menu, Dinner Service

A staple New Paltz restaurant, most noted for their amazing breakfast offerings, just soft launched an all-new Vegan menu, as well as dinner service, and the reception has been nothing short of amazing.

New Paltz natives (sometimes referred to as 'Paltzians') and regular visitors to the quaint village usually agree that the Main Street Bistro has a long and rich history of serving up excellent breakfast and lunch foods. Recently, word on the street was that 'The Bistro' (as insiders refer to it) would be both expanding their menu AND offering dinner service.

A soft opening was recently held, with dinner service hours from 5 until 8pm, and an all new Vegan menu being offered. Initial thoughts, naturally posted to social media quickly after the launch, indicated that the dinner menu had 'all vegan Vietnamese food.'

While there was a great deal of excitement about the new Bistro options, some were concerned of the status of their beloved favorites. A member of the New Paltz Community on Facebook reassured that patrons can still get their favorites.

For those wondering, the regular menu is still in place for breakfast/lunch. The new owner has also added a dinner menu from 5-8, which is all vegan Vietnamese food.

Main Street Bistro Under New Ownership, October 2023

Back in October, after quite some time on the market, the popular New Paltz eatery was officially purchased, and the new owner is no stranger to New Paltz. The new owner, Mary, also owns a Vietnamese restaurant in town called IPho.

At the time of the sale, Mary indicated she had no plans to change the menu or staff, months later sticking to her word by keeping the beloved menu while also expanding offerings through an additional dinner menu.
