Trust the science! Unless of course it is from your local cardiologist, dietician or fitness coach. The fact is that this country was sick long before COVID-19. Is it time to take accountability and get a better grip on our health?

I saw something quite odd today at a local place that was administering vaccines. Easter candy already on sale in January. It's strange enough to see Easter candy out this early (maybe it is from last year) but what is even stranger is that junk food is even being offered as a BOGO in front of station that is supposed to be saving your life.

I've thought this for a while but this image confirmed it for me. We don't really want to talk about overall health in this country.

It's obvious because if we did the majority of people who are telling you to get the COVID vaccine would also be telling you to do things like get plenty of sleep, be more physically active and to cut back on sweets and fatty foods. That's not a conversation anyone wants to have. I understand why.

It's uncomfortable and we've been somewhat brainwashed into thinking that questioning someone's health is an attack on their character.

According to the CDC, the leading causes of death for New Yorkers were heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes.

I want to make one thing very clear. I'm not an anti vaxxer and I'm not saying that it we shouldn't take it seriously or do what we can to prevent transmission. I'm also not a doctor but I have access to the same information as you

I've had COVID-19. It's very real.

The CDC also claims that people with following illnesses are more likely to be hospitalized, require a ventilator or even die:

  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic lung disease like COPD & Asthma
  • Liver disease
  • Cancer

All of these illnesses were a threat to New Yorkers before the COVID-19 and in many cases they are preventable by choosing  to live a healthier lifestyle whether that be eating better, exercising more or quitting unhealthy addictions like smoking and drinking.
