UPDATE 3/29/2023: The Hudson Valley Film Commission has filled the positions listed below.

It's so impressive how many projects are being done in the area recently, and we have two more that have filled recent positions with Hudson Valley talent.

This Hudson Valley Film Will Have You Seeing Double

The Hudson Valley Film Commission posted on Facebook on March 26th that there was a rush casting for female identical twins age 5-10 years old. These would be speaking roles and are needed for two days of work in April. Not much more on the project is known at this time, but we are excited to see what will come!

BACK TO THE PRESENT Prepares for Summer Production

Back to the Present, directed by Justin Souriau-Levine, is said to be an eccentric slapstick comedy about time travel. The feature film will be in production over the summer, and is looking to hire an art department team. They were specifically looking for a non-union production designer / art director and a non-union set decorator / set dresser. The movie is said to include bright and fun visuals, which would make for a creative experience for anyone on the art department.

Justin Souriau-Levine is a director, producer, writer, cinematographer, editor and actor known for his most recent feature films Planet of the Astronauts (2022) and The Greatest Race (2021). The summary that Souriau-Levine gives for the upcoming film on IMDb states:

A government issued science experiment sends five theater actors on a journey through time and space via a virtual reality vortex. They are sent back to the Wild West (19th century), Prehistoric times (50,000 BC), Medieval Times (12th century), The Golden Age of Piracy (17th century), WW2 Prisoner of War Camps (1940s); and sent forward in time to a colorful Parallel Future. But there's a twist - each theater actor must complete three individual quests, before sunset. Those who fail, will be marooned in that time and place forever.

The Hudson Valley is not the only place this movie is being filmed. Production will take place between May 30th and August 30th in New York, Arizona, Florida, Utah, France and Italy.
