Cheers: National Friendship Day is August 4th
We talk all the time about all of the random holidays and 'on this day' celebrations that have become part of our daily lives. I think it's safe to say that social media, or hashtags specifically, are to thank for our need to celebrate. Just this week we helped you to celebrate National Chicken Wing Day and National IPA Day, needless to say, it's been a pretty good week for good eats and drinks - # wings and #beer - #winning
This weekend though, is a different kind of celebration, a great reason to shout-out your pals, as the first Sunday in August is officially National Friendship Day, so we want to hear about those crazy people in your life that are your friends!
I'm so incredibly lucky to have some of the best friends a girl could imagine. Friendships ranging from less than a year to close to 25 years (when did I become old enough to have a friend for 25 years? #adultlife). Some live a 10 minute drive away, others a 2 hour road trip, and some require a plane ride, but no matter how far, or how busy, or how long it has been since we've seen one another, or even talked, they're always there when I need them.
So, moral of the story, celebrate your friends this Sunday for #nationalfriendshipday - write them a note, send a quick text, give them a call (yes, on the phone, and actually speak), or visit with them if you can. Hell, why not reconnect with an old friend you haven't talked to in a while.
Cheers, to friends (especially ones that party in Vegas with you)!
