When a professional wrestler wants to smash you in the head with an acoustic guitar, it helps to have someone on your side. It especially helps when that someone is arguably the most popular and successful independent wrestler of this generation.

Colt Cabana is one of those guys that does things his way and is all the better for it. In an era of professional wrestling being seemingly more about a standard "look" and style, Colt is one who takes an old school approach. When I say "old school," I don't mean stuffy or boring and I certainly don't mean traditional. In fact, he's invented his own brand of wrestling.

When I say "old school," I mean that Colt Cabana is the epitome of a performer. He brings a level of showmanship to his performances that's unlike anyone else's and uncommon to say the least.

Plus, when he takes on Jeff Jarrett at Global Force Wrestling on Friday night, hopefully he'll help prevent me from getting my head caved in as special guest referee.

Check him out Friday as we settle the score between myself and Jeff Jarrett. And if you're a wrestling fan, you really owe it to yourself to give his podcast, the Art of Wrestling, a listen. It's a really, really fun and interesting show.
