Homes on the Dark House List will receive periodic visits from their police department to make sure all is well with their property during a specific date window. Currently, the list seems to be popular in one Hudson Valley region in particular.

Several police departments in Westchester County, including Croton-on-Hudson, Harrison and Irvington, NY offer the Dark House List service. Hudson Valley residents interested in the program should contact their local police department to see if the service if offered in their area as well.
