Disabled American Veterans at Castle Point Seek Transportation Volunteers

The Disabled American Veterans, a not-for-profit volunteer organization at Castle Point in Wappingers Falls, are currently seeking volunteers to transport Veterans in Dutchess County to and from the Castle Point location to their place of residence.

Veterans go to Castle Point for various needed services like physical therapy, some for medical visits, and others counseling.

The DAV was recently able to purchase 3 new vans, thanks to generous donations, allowing them to provide more services to their Veterans, and now they are seeking drivers for those vans.

There are various opportunities to become a volunteer driver, including morning and afternoon time slots.  Those interested in volunteering must have a valid driver's license, be in good health, and bus complete a hearing and vision test.
