Nobody wants a DUI. I'm sure police offers have heard just about every excuse in the book but this has got to be one of the lamest excuses ever.

Let me start off by saying that it is never okay to drive drunk. Thankfully, here in the Hudson Valley we now have Uber to help prevent cases like these. Just when you thought it was safe to go to Massachusetts you need to think again. Well, just be careful on the roads because apparently there are people like this guy. Mass Live reported that Clinton Taylor hit an elderly pedestrian while driving with a blood alcohol level that was three times higher than the legal limit.

When the police caught up with him he claimed that he was drinking by orders of his doctor. To help secure these claims the man offered to get the police a doctors note. Of course they didn't believe him and placed him under arrest.

I'm wondering what kind of medical condition one would have to be prescribed alcohol by a doctor?

If alcohol is being used as a medical prescription I hope the bottle say "Do not take and operate heavy machinery."
