Dutchess County’s 4th Annual Special Needs Picnic Annoucned
Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro made the announcement this week. Inviting children with special needs, their families to Dutchess County’s fourth annual Special Needs Picnic on Tuesday, August 16th at Freedom Park in LaGrange.
“We are thrilled to again offer this special event, which draws the community together for a common goal: to give children with special needs and their families a great afternoon of fun,” County Executive Molinaro said. “Our annual picnic is just one way we in Dutchess County ‘Think DIFFERENTLY’ about residents with special needs, helping connect their families with agencies and organizations which can greatly impact children’s lives. We are proud to host events like this, which demonstrate Dutchess County’s commitment to our neighbors of all abilities.”
The picnic will host a variety of entertainment including music, face painting, recreational activities and more. Special events will also be taking place including a visit from the Sheriff's Offices' K-9 unit and therapy dog. The Lagrange Fire District will also bring along a cool firetruck for kids to explore. The Mid-Hudson Children's Museum will also be on hand with it's poplar Imagination Playground. So easy to see it will be a fun filled day for all.
