Local Veterans Day Events

This week dozens of local municipalities will be holding events throughout the Hudson Valley in honor of Veterans Day. If you can please take time to venture out and honor our vets.

Veterans Day is now a day know to honor veterans of all wars but it actually began back in 1919 as Armistice Day, a day to commemorate the end of World War I and it wouldn't be until 1938 that Armistice Day would even became a legal holiday. The holiday we know today as Veterans Day officially transformed on November 11th, 1954, a day to honor American veterans of all wars.To check out the full history of Veterans Day check out VA.gov.
