Do you need help figuring out how to answer the questions on your tax forms? If you made less than $62,000 during 2015, you are eligible for free tax assistance.

Here are two places that you can get help before the tax filing deadline, note that they are only available on specific dates and times.

  • Catharine Street Community Center, 69 Catharine Street, Poughekeepsie 12601 Mondays, 9:00AM – 5:00PM. 4/4, 4/11
  • Chatham Public Library, 11 Woodbridge Ave, Chatham 12037
    10:00AM – 6:00PM 3/30, 4/6, 4/13

What to bring to your session, according to the www.tax.ny.gov:

  • a copy of your federal and state tax return tax return from last year (if filed)
  • a picture ID (such as a driver’s license, a passport, or, if you live in NYC, an IDNYC)
  • an affordable healthcare statement (Form 1095-A, Form 1095-B, or Form 1095-C)
  • a health insurance exemption certificate (if received)
  • information related to any credits you are claiming
  • your bank account and routing numbers (so we may directly deposit your refund)
  • proof of your income:
