A high-risk sex offender who sexually abused two young teens is now living near six Hudson Valley schools.

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office notified the public that 33-year-old Stephen A. Ricciardi moved to Scott Drive in the Town of Wappinger.

The Level-3 sex offender also goes by the names Stephanie Ricciardi or Steph Ricciardi, officials say.

Ricciardi is described by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office as a Caucasian transgender female with long light brown hair, 5’9” and 170 pounds.

Ricciardi sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl in 2006, reports the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.

Ricciardi was convicted of rape and criminal sex act in June 2006. Ricciardi was sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison. Ricciardi knew both of the victims, according to the New York State sex offender’s database.

According to Google Maps, Ricciardi now lives about a mile from Rockingham Park and Brettview Acres Park. Ricciardi’s new home is also about 3 miles from Roy C. Ketcham High School, Van Wyck Junior High School, Brinckerhoff Elementary School, Fishkill Plains Elementary School, Myers Corners Elementary School and Wappingers Junior High School.

Level-3 sex offenders are considered to have the highest risk of a repeat offense and are considered the greatest risk to the public.
